JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Oakland Raiders running back Maurice Jones-Drew is being sued in Florida, accused of punching a bouncer at a St. Augustine restaurant. The suit was electronically filed May 30 in St. Johns County. Bouncer Kasim Howard is suing Jones-Drew, saying the former Jacksonville Jaguars star punched him May 26, 2013, at the Conch House Restaurant. Howard accuses Jones-Drew of intentionally causing injury and severe emotional distress. Howard is seeking a judgment for injury resulting in "pain and suffering, loss of capacity of for enjoyment of life, expense of hospitalization, medical expenses (past and future), inability to perform his work as a professional boxer, mental and emotional pain, humiliation, inconvenience, lost wages, legal expenses and other general and specific damages." The State Attorneys Office reviewed a criminal complaint and decided not to charge Jones-Drew last summer. "The State Attorney shut this down after reviewing everything," said MJDs attorney, Hank Coxe. "We havent heard anything in ages and then we get a lawsuit after he moves to Oakland? We will deal with this in the judicial system as we have everything else." According to the lawsuit, Howard attempted to use a "bear hug" to physically remove an intoxicated patron from the restaurant on Memorial Day. Jones-Drew, who was in a group with the patron, allegedly tried to intervene. Howard told Jones-Drew he was escorting the patron out. Jones-Drew appeared to walk away, according to the suit, but then blind-sided Howard with a punch to the left jaw. Another security guard grabbed Jones-Drew, the suit said, and the player left the restaurant. Howard says he was treated at Flagler Hospital for "injuries suffered during the attack, including contusions, loss of consciousness, a concussion and a herniated disc of the spine." Howard is requesting a jury trial and an award of punitive and compensatory damages. Wholesale Soccer Jerseys Authentic . After hitting the tournaments opening tee shot, the Scot struggled to a six on the first hole before recovery to reach the turn at three under.Montgomerie was unable to repeat the feat on the back nine, coming in in 38 to reach the clubhouse at level par. Weve seen from everybody that there are opportunities on the front nine to make birdies and the only opportunities you see on the back nine are to make pars, he told Sky Sports. Watch The Open Watch the first round of The Open for free, no contract The big error I made was on 14, I know when that pin is front-left there that you cannot miss it to the left in that bunker and I did that.It was a good par at the last though, holing a 20-footer. Three over for the back nine, really thats par and three under for the front nine, thats par so, yeah, 71. Colin Montgomerie has the honour of opening the 145th Open, by having the first tee shot of the competition As for the first hole, Montgomerie was thrilled by the support he received and also argues that he hit his best shot of the round on the holee, despite the fact it took the ball away from the pin.dddddddddddd.It was great, there were more people out there to start with than I imagined and it was fantastic of them to give me such support on the first tee, he said.It was theatre really - until I hit my second shot! There was a lot going on because we were the first ones off, people arent quite ready for you getting round to the ball but it was okay.I can honestly say that nobody in the field would have got that first ball out of that bunker, it was impossible. After starting with the opening tee shot of The Open, Colin Montgomerie gets stuck in a bunker on the first hole and has to shoot sideways to get out It was plugged right under the lip and it just wasnt coming out. The disadvantage that I had, of course, when I did hit it into the lip, it came right back and was in my original footprint. The best shot I hit all day was the fourth shot out of that bunker, I hit it so hard to get it out of that footprint to get it away from the hole - the fourth shot of the day and youre still playing away from the hole! - so that was my best shot of the day. Then an up and down for six, it was a nightmare start.
